Homemade Nut Butter
All you need is:
2 glasses (300g) raw nuts (peanuts, almonds, hazelnuts suits best, I used peanuts although it's the least healthy option, so you can easiely upgrade to almonds for example)
1 tbsp of oil (good quality olive, coconut, avocado oils are the best)
Pinch of salt (optional)
Here’s what you do:
Preheat the oven to 180C degrees. Prepare large baking tray, line it with parchment paper and add your nuts to it. Bake it for around 10 min or until nuts starts to brown lightly and oil starts to come out.
Place them to the food processor add salt if you use it and blend it until fine crumbles, add oil, continue blending until you achieve texture you like. I tried to skip using oil, but simply it would not become smooth, paste like texture no matter how long I blend. Only crumbs became finer and that's it. But you can try to use less oil or no oil. In the recipe is the minimum oil that worked for me with peanuts.
